Indie Book Rebels Podcast

Hey everyone! So yesterday I was wasting time checking various places on the Internet for random things and stumbled across a new podcast that was looking for authors to interview. No one had been chosen to be interviewed yet and in a moment of foolishness, I was like “sure, I’ll do it!”We had some false starts and tech difficulties, but eventually the show started and I got to experience my first interview as an author. I think I did somewhat okay, but you will have to be the judge of that. I am linking it below, but before you listen I have a couple things to say about it.

First I state in the interview that I ran the “largest astronomy forum on the Internet.” Well, that is NOT true. Not sure why I said that. The forum I ran was very large and active, but places like Astronony.com easily surpassed me. Sorry about that!

Second, the first 1 minute and 21 seconds of the recording can be skipped; it was from when we were having trouble. At 7 minutes and 20 seconds the interviewer says one curse. Other than that it is safe for listening at work or with children around.

My part starts around 10 minutes and 25 seconds and runs all the way to the end. The entire show is about an hour long, and my phone for whatever reason was not the clearest. Ah well. So much for the first run! Anyways, here you go:

you dont start talking until about 11 minutes in and she needs practice interviewing people, she should really do research first. lol , not sure i can make it through the whole podcast, but for you i will try my hardest

Thanks Jillian! It was a good first experience for me. I think I will do better on the next one I get invited to. That is if this one does not scare future interviewers off! 😀

i really didn’t like the fact that she knew nothing about you or your books, there was a lot of background noise, and she talked more about herself than she did you and repeated a lot of things over and over, i think the thing that bugged me the most was after she said she hadn’t read the book that she never would b/c it wasn’t an audio book- that made me angry with her, she could have read the book description on amazon at least, or at least know the title of the book. but i think you did good for your first time just go with someone who know what they are doing next time, (sorry if i sound like a bitch)

You did great Vincent- it may have had a rocky start but you definitely handled it with grace! Some great advice for other authors and some cool info about your first three books 🙂

Great reading too! I like the voices!

Thanks Deirdre! I did not actually decide to do the voices, they just kind of happened. 🙂
