Great News!

I mentioned this on twitter (Follow @LostTales so you are not left out) recently, but the first draft of The Rise of Shadows is complete at just over one hundred thousand words. That makes it the longest book in the series so far. I have contacted my cover artist (the same one that did The Academy) and she is working on a cover for it now. I have already done about as much editing as I can do, so it will be soon handed off to Kristi for real editing while I start on Volume IV. The plan is still for five books in this story arch, and then most likely branch off with new stories and new characters in the same universe.

The big question I keep getting asked is, “When will Shadows be ready?” and at this stage I am hoping for a February release of the ebook. The print edition will be delayed as I am looking into a new print on demand provider, as I have been less then impressed with the service and pricing at my current provider. I will provide more information as I know more.

Until then, check out and share this awesome trailer I made for it:

Loved the Academy, and really looking forward to the continuation of the series. Keep up the fantastic writing, hope it won’t be long for the Kindle version of III.
    Thanks again.

Thanks Sandy! I really appreciate your kind words.

Amazon is pretty good at getting the Kindle version up fast. Typically with in 24-48 hours after I release it they have it ready for purchase. The E-Book usually hits Smashwords first, typically with in hours of when I send it. Other stores have taken weeks to months to carry new books. Heck one (Kobo) still does not have The Academy listed.

Still hoping for February release, but we are presently facing some unavoidable delays so we will just have to see.

Absolutely awesome. I could not put book one, and finished the second in a night. I look forward to The shadows. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Jon! Glad you enjoyed it. We are about 1/2 way through the first (and hardest) pass of editing Volume 3, and I am several chapters in to Volume 4 now.
