March Update on the The Lost Tales of Power

Editing of The Academy is going very well. We have completed the first pass where 80% or so of the grammar, syntax and spelling is cleaned up. Two pre-readers now have copies and are working through it and so far their feedback is that it is better then the first book! Kristi is presently working through the second pass of editing so we are ahead of schedule and may actually have a Spring release instead of Summer. I am planning a contest for some readers to win signed copies of The Academy. I will announce more details on that, as the release of Academy gets closer. Keep checking this site for news on that (or subscribe to the site’s RSS feed to be notified of updates).

The Academy continues to do well everywhere I have found it. It has over 1,500 readers on Smashwords.com alone, and every site that has reviews for it has given it at least four stars. As a brand new author with no advertising budget, I am amazed at the success.

Book Three, which is currently called “Rise of Shadows,” is well under way. I have about fifteen thousand words, and ten chapters written. That puts it way ahead of schedule also and we might make a Christmas 2011 release for it. Shadows is bit more challenging to write since the main character of it is drastically different personality from the main characters of Enemy and Academy.

That is all I have for this update, please continue to send in feedback! I love to hear what you think of the book, and some of your suggestions for how to improve things have already been incorporated into The Academy and Shadows.
