It has been about a month since my last update, but some great progress has been made since then. First The Enemy of an Enemy is nearing one thousand downloads on Smashwords.com, and has finally been pushed out to most of the major ebook retail outlets. I am really amazed at how the book’s audience is growing, and look forward to hearing from more of you as you read the book.
Progress on The Academy is going very well, I have gotten about seventy-one thousand words written so far and working towards the climax. The main character (whom you met in Enemy, but do not yet realize his importance) is in a really bad spot right now as he out numbered, out gunned and under fire. He has no good reason to believe he will survive the situation, but he has to because his sworn enemy has taken his girlfriend prisoner. Not what you would call a good day!
I hope to have the first pass of the completed rough draft done by the end of the month, and get copies out to a few people to pre-read while my wife and I work on the massive task of editing the story. Some day I hope to be able to afford a professional editor. That would free up massive amounts of time and allow me to work through the series faster, until then my readers can be very happy my wife edits my books, otherwise they would be unreadable! Based on all of that I am on target for an early summer release of The Academy.
